This is why fursuiting is so much fun for me. It breaks down social barriers.
Strangers become your friends instantly. Little children look at you with wonderment (or they run away acreaming.) People seem to relate to a fursuit in an open manner. Maybe it re-awakens imagination, or brings back happy memories of theme parks or mascots. Or, as one guy said, you feel like you're talking to the family dog... Only he can talk back.
Whatever the reason, it is highly rewarding to be the catalyst for good cheer and smiling faces...

Awesome :3 I've only got to experience general public fursuiting once but it was a doozy with soo many people! I had the most fun ever that day in the 5 to 6 hours of suiting I did that day. Never had that much attention, hugs, and photos! Fursuiting is definitely very fun. I just wish I lived in an area where it would be feasible and I didn't have to travel to another state to enjoy it.
When I went to my first furry con, I saw three of my favorite suiters in the fandom. Right away I got pictures and hugs and head pets from them, and after some playful chatter and a wave goodbye I stepped aside and began to cry tears of joy. Encountering a fursuiter is such a magical experience, and I've graduated to move up and give the same amazing emotions to other people that I interact with after I got a suit. I've had children follow me around for hours holding my tail, I've had adults give me gracious compliments and interact. That social barrier that comes down is something amazing, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

It's really, just in a work, awesome! I have no idea where i'm going to go with my suit on first XD But i want to do something with it before FWA if i can still make it! XD

See, money got super tight, so im all concerned about being able to make it. Part of me is thinking of just coming down for 1 day to catch the parade and an ample amount of pictures. I just can't afford the hotel for 3 nights x__x

WEEEEWT!! I have my room reserved for 3 nights, so maybe i can just cut it for one, come in early that day, PAAARTTTAAAAY sleep, wiggle around more in my suit, then go home. Do you happen to know which day the Parade is? That's really what i want to be there for.

I'm totally going to try 10 times harder to make it down if even for a day now XD!

I can't see the parade on the schedule. Maybe it'll be on Saturday?

Like the smile I have from starting to finally release a shitty Monday where I've felt like crap all day.
A picture like this reminds me there is hope for furry yet in the fact there are some real people around who take it for what it is and not what it's supposed to be.
Why do you have to be in California Corgi butt?
We need more like you around
Between you and Kijani if this lion needs a smile or just something to cheer him up I don't have to look far.

A good deed deserves another.
Furry needs more stories like these which it doesn't seem to have much of.
Moments like this are the reason why this fandom needs to exist in this way instead of the way everybody sees it as.
Nobody can bring a picture to life or bring a great event to life unless they are willing to.
Right now, I'm at one of my lowest moods I've been in but you know seeing great moments in furry encourages me that when I do really get into this outside of a keyboard that there is hope to run into a fur who really cares about what they do.
That's what people need to think about in anything they do.
It's not going to change who they are but it will give the public a better understanding of we furries are people just like the people who are in the picture.
Only difference is we live through the heart of the species of animal we love in our minds.
