Speculative Overlord Bullshit: Brown Minion
Among the Minion species, the Browns are the most numerous and most easy to study, as they are not particularly bright and easily bribed with fried rats. They are the largest and heaviest species, easily standing a head taller than the other tribes. Magical abilities could not be observed so far; however, it is possible that their exceptional strength and durability is not completely natural.
Despite their general intelligence level, one exceptionally old specimen functions as the Overlord's advisor, being easily smarter than most humans, elves or dwarves, which supports the theory that the stupidity displayed by most Minions is an effect of their usually short lives and strange life cycle, being born as adults from lifeforce through a magical process.
They are surprisingly loyal, often preferring to inhabit the ruins of the tower when currently not serving rather than wandering off to suitable habitats. Browns are very adaptable, with traces and remains having been found from the frigid expanses in Nordberg (where it is assumed the original population had joined the first Overlord, having inhabited the warm caverns of the Netherworld before) to the mountains of the Golden Hills. Their large size, strength and versatility lends them to be used as the backbone of the Overlord's army, where they are not only the main close-combat fighters, but are also employed to build and maintain structures of the tower.
Remember the Skull Island bullshittery? I decided to do a round for the Minions from Overlord now, too. The redesigns are done by working under the assumption that the game depictions are stylized caricatures like everything else there and the redesigns are basically an attempt to de-stylize them and come up with a possible (semi-)realistic appearance.
Changelog:
-more mass to the lower body, considering they are mostly bipedal and would benefit from more solid support structures and a lower centre of mass
-more distance between the eyes and upper jaw, because nasal cavities need space too and the amount of screenshots where you can see the eyes clipping through the palate is ridiculous
