Before he was Chaos Cougar
Before he was Chaos Cougar, he was simply known as Chris Catamount, Captain in the Army. When they found out about his powers he was moved to the special "supers" brigade where he was isolated, studied, and experimented on.
After escaping from the military and stealing their latest high-tech cloaking VTOL craft he has made a name as a vigilante and crime fighter. While he has no love of the government, he knows they aren't all the same sadistic assholes who approved of experimenting on him. He will often mess with the villains and the government at the same time when he can.
The records of his true past were destroyed under mysterious circumstances. And some powers in the military continue to hunt him for retrieval. Officially, the "supers" brigade known nothing of him.

Well at least their arnt too many bells and whistles because, more often than not, they make the gun worse at what it does (heavier weapons are more difficult to aim). But then what do I know about weapon mods, the only rifles I've held are the BACS (British Army Cadet Service) Cadet GP and Cadet .22.
So he was originally a Captain before they knew he was a meta. In both "The Start of Chaos Theory" and "The Hunt for Chaos Theory" Theory's AI refers to him as "Colonel Catamount?" but I don't think anyone else has called him a Colonel. Did he get promoted a few ranks just for having a good meta power or is that just what Theory calls him?
