I had this thought while watching a show about a brutal murder case (a few of them to be precise).

We are one of the few, if not the only on Earth, that can kill another living being in vain. We murder, pillage, and end the lives of our fellow man, for reasons that are not always in the defense of our own lives. Why?

Is it because, when we were created with logic, reason, and free will, we were also born with dark, insatiable wills to kill our fellow man? That our gift of the Fruit of Knowledge also drives us insane?

That's how Lilith (the first human being in a certain anime) got in there.
