Mystery Monday: Roaring 20s in the Mystery Shop
So this was meant to come out earlier to celebrate the double return of the roaring 20’s, even though 2020 has been laying hands on me. But still, I am a fan of 20’s fashion, the Art Deco style of the time, and I thought it would be a perfect back drop to my OC’s.
The year is 1924, Lotte had just learned a new dance and is eager to show it off to her coworkers. “Turn on that radio!” She tells Max Imil Iano. They comply and a jazzy time kicks in. She starts flailing her legs and arms in rhythm, cutting a rug in the middle of the shop. “That looks like fun!” Says Sorbet, and he tries to keep up. Gavin walks in with a case of potions. “Hey you two, quit dancing and help with this order!” He shouts over the music. “Quit unloading that case and help us dance!” Says LOTTE. “No way,” retorts Gavin. “There’s too much work to do.” “Oh come on Gavin, dance with us!” Before he can protest, Gavin is taken by the hand by Sorbet, and slow smile stretches over Gavin’s face as they all dance together.
