This is a wonderful commission by
TruNorth capturing a moment from a long motocamping weekend that
rufuswolf and I enjoyed last summer. We spent three days riding through parts of Washington, only half-tracking the Washington Gambler 500 and meeting / making friends along the way. This scene is from our last day of riding, during a break we took as we headed from Moses Lake back home via a little speck of a down called Palisades, WA.
I selected it for the interesting looking switchbacks on google maps, but we didn't expect the dirt roads in the steepest, curviest sections. Street tires and our experience level made it a little sketchy, but the scenery was amazing - we descended from high, dry scablands in to a coulee, with the valley floor filled with the bright green fields of the farming community nestled in there. The entire trip was amazing, but that little bit was an absolute highlight -- it was unreal.
Thanks so much to TruNorth for bringing this to life -- I'll get this printed and hanging up soon enough! <3
