Ladies and gentlemen, she has returned.

Yes, that's right. Among the new characters I've brought in over the past couple of weeks [or even year if you count Dot (https://www.deviantart.com/ikyle/art/Dot-Togepi-794064638 | https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31214502/)], and of the few I still have left to do, the next one up is actually a character I've already had, but has only been drawn once.

You read that correctly, it's been a little over eight years since I drew her for the first time (https://www.deviantart.com/ikyle/art/OC-Cinnamon-Hazelnut-257325927), and since she was originally introduced. Yet, even after all this time, she has resonated well with me and has still found frequent use, and in the last couple of years, I wanted her to have more time in the spotlight, I just never got around to doing so. Cinnamon is often considered to be one of my favorite characters, through design and personality. Considering it's been... well, eight years since she was introduced, I'm going to consider this drawing of her an update to that, but also a reintroduction, as I feel my drawing style and writing abilities have improved since 2011, I feel it's appropriate.

Cinnamon Hazelnut is a two-tone Yoshi born on Ioa, yet grew up on Yoshi's Island. She then lived within the Mushroom Kingdom attending school, and lived in the human world for a short time to attend college, before moving to the Light Kingdom to live with her friends. She enjoys reading, learning, and solving intense or incredibly hard problems. In short, she loves putting her brain to work or having knowing as much as possible, something she was often commented on when growing up: she was exceptionally smart. Her grades were always high in school and was always at the top of her class. She was a model student too, able to help her fellow peers when they needed it, which helped her become popular, although she is not very sociable. She tends to be somewhat shy and not very talkative, yet when it came to learning something new, you would almost always see her taking plenty of notes or asking plenty of questions, as she was able to learn new skills or concepts quickly. The highest of classes she took in middle and high school were always given to her, and her averages were always high.

She mostly attended schools in the Mushroom Kingdom, but was able to travel to the human world to experience their schools as well; this allowed her to live near Kye and meet him for the first time and attend school together for a short time. It was also here that she first developed feelings for the green streak, despite him not really being interested in relationships at the time. She does enjoy romance but often finds it hard to find out how to convey her feelings without coming off as awkward. When Kye and all his friends moved to Ioa to live in the kingdom after he found out that was his actual home, she was able to join in shortly after moving.

Cinnamon now resides at the Silver Tower with everyone, yet she now mainly stays with Kyle and his friends instead, and helps serve the Royal Family as their Librarian; she also spends most of her time in the Tower's library, reading books from cover to cover. She can either read them slowly and take in every detail, or do so regularly but at a quicker pace than most would be able to. Yet, since staying with Kyle and the others, she has started showing more signs of sociability and charisma, wanting to try things that they do, one of them included turning herself into a Softie, and experience Pokémon and go on an adventure with them, something she was able to do early in 2019 thanks to the exhibition to Kanto that brought in Chocolate; a Trainer looked to trade an Alolan Raichu for a Kantonian one in Saffron City, which allowed her to officially become known as a Trainer with that Alolan Raichu, Pancake.

Cinnamon is very proper and exquisite, you could say; in other words, she speaks eloquently all the time and is kind and respectful. She is very motherly and loves to be around children, or family in general. Despite not wearing much, she greatly enjoys fancy clothing and accessories, although in some cases she adds her own unique style to them. Cinnamon also loves classical themes and music; she enjoys old furniture and themes, as well as more neutral colors, as well as woods for a theming.

As such, in contrast to her introduction, she now has a fancy dress hat that she doesn't regularly wear, and a very long ribbon that she ties around her neck and makes a bow in the back, with two long strands going down below her tail, and one on her front that also mimics a scarf. She also regularly wears heels or similar footwear, although she does have an attachment with naturist themes, so there may be a few times she goes without these items to be one with nature, if you will.

Unseen in this picture is her new ability with psychic powers. This was achieved when she was threatened during an outing with her friends, and thanks to the amount of magic that makes up Ioa, it aligned with her mind to give her psychic abilities, which allowed her to defend herself. She now uses these powers to fight with her friends with needed, although she tends to use them more to do work around the Tower, and still doesn't see herself as a good fighter; she is still learning to completely hone those powers.

Cinnamon, as much as I enjoy using her and having her around, is one of the harder characters for me to play as; she's supposed to be the smartest one in my roster yet there's only so much I can do with I am unable to achieve those same levels of intellect. However, I still enjoy using her for roleplays and finding other ways to make her usable despite my limitations. She remains one of my favorite characters and one I hold dearly to myself, and it was wonderful getting to draw her again and I felt really proud of this one too! You will see that this is how I plan on drawing Yoshis for some time, the body structure is not only fun to draw but is visually pleasing to me. I do feel that I wasn't that great with the chest. I should mention that I didn't sketch that out originally so I freeformed her chest while coloring, as I did with the secondary colors that runs along her cheek, her chest, and down around to her tail, but the end result was surprisingly good!
