Attack him, once hes down but that title of Devouring Beast to use and vore him. If thats not an option then intimidate him so we can turn him as well.

Flee. Crossbows hurt and I'd rather we not get injured this early in the story. Latter, lets pick a fight on our own terms, or a TF when we're not magically exhausted.

hmm... I would say, despite the penalty, use magic(karma) because of our new donkey friend did ask for that and what friend would we be if not granting that request
