“Okay,… this is more than just a little soft sand,… it’s Quicksand alright,…
Ugh,… not only is this stuff all over the place on this island, but I swear it stalks me or something,… popping up right under my feet when I’m not looking,…
I know, I know,… that sounds crazy, but I can walk over the same spot a hundred times and it’s solid, then suddenly it’s not,… this stuff is out to get me.
Uhn,… this is the thick stuff too, real gooey,… and fast,… that’s not good,… ”

After a Christmas sale, another character reference and a chibi picture the sequence continues at last with the third lovely image from the great
toughset of my OC Ember sinking in what is clearly, and admittedly, jungle quicksand.
Now you may notice right off that some things have changed in regards to her appearance from the previous picture in this series and there is a simple answer to that,… “A wizard did it.” Seriously though, I am liking her refined design, and decided to keep going with it in this series, so do pardon the changes, I think she looks smoother and more ‘streamlined’ without as many flowers.
Such a remarkable pose, the way she is positioned it makes me think that she may have partially lot her balance during the initial plunge of the previous image, and is regaining that balance as she settles in deeper, soon finding herself upto her lovely thighs. A simply lovely depth to show off those thighs of hers as she squirms in the quicksand to regain her balance, while not seeming to notice her spear dipping down into the muck. Such great looking quicksand she is settling into, it looks so thick and gooey, as even she comments, as it mounds up around her legs, and even her spear, adding an additional sense of motion to the piece,… the thick bubbles are a great touch. I love the shine off her hair and skin and the blade, it adds such a nice ambience to the image, especially as her hair starts to bunch up on the surface of the sands behind her, a very nice touch. And of course her lovely expression, which really drives this piece home,… the slightly furrowed brows to show abit of annoyance, accented by her gritted teeth, she is certainly not happy about her situation, but also seemingly not fearful of it. A truly marvelous picture to continue this, so far, breath-taking series.
Stay tuned and see what happens.

Oh, don't mind her, she's just being dramatic ;)
"Hmph!"
But the idea is that the jungle of her island is overabundant in such stuff,... because I have an interest in it,... so it is something she encounters frequently,... to the point that she has come to think it is out to get her.
Well,... in real-life quicksand it is virtually impossible to sink under in, though you can get stuck pretty good,... but in fantasy quicksand, such as that seen in movies, cartoons, comics and online, the idea is that it is very treacherous stuff that can ensnare you, suck you down, and swallow you up, and the more you struggle the faster you sink. Technically submerging in quicksand would lead to drowning, if the person couldn't get out, but rarely does the fetish go that far. My interest as well doesn't go that far either, in most cases I'm content ending off with a submergence as something of a cliffhanger,... leaving the viewer wondering what happens next. As for this series,.. well,... I don't want to spoil,... so stay tuned ;)
