Faeries aren't known for being nice (at least the non-Disney ones), and have a general mean streak. So, when you're going about the old garden and killing off a few weeds, best to steer clear of those mushrooms in a ring.

if you look at the old stories of faeries you're actually right... they were mischievous and very dangerous, i'm a believer of many things and i tend to respect the things i don't understand. Fairy rings i'm a bit iffy about but you won't catch me playing around with them... especially on the night of a full moon
i used to be pretty big on mythology about 6 years ago so i've read quite a few of the stories... apparently in a museum in the UK somewhere is a silver glass that someone stole from a faerie's den after being pulled in and told to "eat, drink and be merry" as the story goes he tipped out the wine and ran off but retained the glass as proof of the incident. Personally i'm indifferent to this story because reality is only a matter of perspective
I love the job you did with 'weed killer' on the bottle.. the body thickness/size change is spectacular, too. Something that may not be obvious: The amazing job on all the flowers in the background, the birdfeeder/pedestal, the pretty tree... all the mushrooms... Great, GREAT job. :O
I guess it depends on the faery type, their home region, and just their relationships with humans that finally seperate "good", "bad", and "mean" . . .
I mean in the old days man didn't exactly give the fae folk much reason to like let alone trust them . . . goin' around like they own the world and can do as they see fit.
Be nice if there were more fairies like this to teach those capalist bastards that like cashing in on nature's wonders without restraint or recompense a few dozen Serious Lessons!!
