But it's more the situation I find dark. A bunch of sapient creatures offer themselves to a corporation to be sold as food for whatever reason, or are bred to be sold as food to then get eaten and digested alive, then Ceres just eats them while seemingly not feeling the slightest bad about it.

Im a pretty dark person despite my cheerful looking visuals lol.
But there is more to it. These are feeder kobolds, a smaller variant of kobold that -by instinct- will happily do anything for their owners as long as they are treated with love, care and respect. The fact theyre being eaten here means they lived their best life until now and are happy to do it.
Call my world a dystopian utopia; there are a lot of fucked up things in the world i created, but a lot more good things to counter the situations i consider bad irl
