It is late July in 1960, and Elias Ferret had been hiking along Highway 54, somewhere between Pastura and Vaughn in New Mexico.
It is just past sundown, and Elias is hoping to get a ride before that storm bares down on him.
As a side note, if that Martin guitar that has been in his family for two generations gets wet in the rain, it will be ruined.
However, Elias Ferret's biggest concern is hoping he doesn't get struck by a bolt of lightning...It's a really bad storm on the way.
