Jolie has always adored the idea of finding herself under the spotlight when she was just a Clamperl, often taking the inspiration from her mother who was a Gorebyss herself. Once Jolie evolved later in her life, she began to practice her moves to be uses for wowing the crowd. It’s not uncommon for a water type to partake in the pokemon contests, though it is a different story for those who often live underwater. Moving about is no easy task on land, especially with only fins. Fortunately, the advances in the pokemon world have allowed gear to be made that help pokemon float off the ground as a means to “swim” in the air. It was too weak to really allow her to fly, but it was enough to allow a fast method of travel on her own. In any other case she would use a pokeball to move about, but she doesn't really like to keep herself held up in a portable home just because of her inability to move. So far Jolie has managed to create a small group of fans, but is still looking for that one victory that may gain her more attention.

Going without water for a long time can really hinder a pokemon who spends most of their time underwater, being able to harm her if she isn’t careful. As Jolie has a much easier time living inside of water, she prefers keeping as close to the ground as she can unless in the safety of a pokeball. )
