
This is a stretch of Highway 54 that runs parallel to the Southern Pacific Railroad, in which a southbound passenger train is approaching at 80 mph. In parts of one of my stories, this is the same southbound that speeds through Duran at 2:07 am (It's still north of Vaughn yet).
This is in the year 1960, thus the Southern Pacific was around then. SP was bought out by Union Pacific in the late 1990s.
It is summer, and a thunderstorm can be seen gradually drifting by to the east (toward right of screen).
