Time to let go (Rainbow bridge)
The good news is that Cocoa is resting peacefully.
I’m just sad it’s not with me.
My SO, Cocoa’s girlfriend Lola, and I went to the vet to see him off today. Pictured here, he’s crossed the rainbow bridge to be with his first wife, Rapunzel. There’s not a lot more that you can ask for than to have love see you off and love receive you on either side of the rainbow bridge.
I really appreciate everyone’s well wishes and help. It really means a lot.

No need to thank me. I understand, letting go is hard, but when its time...you hold them, kiss them goodbye..let them know they are loved as they go to sleep safe in your arms. It all anyone can wish for those they love, that they pass knowing they are loved. You gave them that comfort, now take some for yourself.
Thank you. I specifically told the vet that I wanted to go as far as Cocoa wanted to, and not any further. He’s not in any more discomfort, and the cremation place was able to put his ashes together with those of his late bun wife who passed two years ago. It’s a little better knowing that they’ll be together.
