"It's waking up!" A voice explaimed in panic, loud crashes of metal ringing throughout the air.
My optical stream was online. A single lifeform stood above me. System makes reference to a databank, but I couldn't seem to connect?
"Databank request timed out" I announced with no hesitation or control.
"Voletz it's talking! Can you come sort this demon out!" The being quivered. Its body possessing two large protrusions of cartilledge from the top. Fascinating
"Yo Voletz hurry up, he keeps staring at my horns."
Another voice in close proximity echoed throughout my audio channels as a smaller figure approached me.
"Check port 1433 on your localhost for a useable database. I didn't get time to configure you manually, we're still dealing with what you did."
Huh. It was right? There's an SQL server, I didn't realise I was self hosting, the program makes no hint to that. Anyway excuse me whilst I assimilate the database into my NeuralNet.
The [CREATURE? - MALE?FEMALE?NON-BINARY?] connected a wire to the UART port on my back. Staring at a monitor as debugging information displayed.
"We lost Milo and Francessca for you. But look at it-" they pointed to the debugging messages, beckoning their colleagues to admire their work, "You're running from our custom kernel. You're free from their control"
"Their?" I responded.
The Vole held in their hands an R-KEY. A device used by PREDATOR units like me to activate augmentation modules within our bodies. Different chemicals alter different areas of the body. The one they held looked rather damaged, with a questionable liquid inside.
"Let me show you".
The vole plugged the R-KEY into the port located on my neck. My systems informing me that the used R-KEY was an outdated strength augmentation. The effects that were triggered however, were not of the physical kind.
Memories with my own mRNA encoding began flooding my system, explaining my purpose as a machine of war. Showing me the tyrants who birthed me, and altered my being to control me.
"What am i?...."
"You were a monster. But maybe no longer."
"Rodney?"
A bronze furred tiger hissed as he picked up parts from the workshop floor. He felt the Rodent treated him as a maid more often than not, and was begining to grow tired of the hideout's blissfully peaceful evenings being suddenly interrupted with sounds of soldering and gleeful squeaking.
The tiger rolled his eyes and placed the spare parts onto the stone counter that decorated the sides of the room; before he noticed a faint green glow from under the table.
"Kuga what are you doing?"
There was no response. The overgrown cat sighed, crouching down to see the small rodent entranced. His brown fur was covered in oil and blood, in desperate need of a bath; in direct opposite to his cybernetics, which had been upgraded over the years with custom enhancements and looked pristine. Finally his green eyes flashed wildly with shadows of the past dancing in view. The tiger sat and held the rats small paws.
"You're watching it again aren't you"
No reply.
"It's been 6 years Kuga."
No reply.

You've watched it 4 times today. Why do you do this every year, it solves nothing.

You know Nate is sat holding you right? It's getting awkward.

You're rude when you're nervous. 90% compilation and still going.
