Here's another game which I started back in 2003, right about the time I quit making games for a long while. This game was intended to have online scoreboards and several modes, including a time attack mode and so forth, but it never got completed.
I think it should be important to note the principal inspiration for this game's concept was borrowed largely from
macop. About 10 years back, he produced a game much like this in HSP called "DIVE Original". Please consider this a tribute to that game.
Since this is not a complete version, I'd ask that for right now, please do not re-distribute it to chan sites and the like; instead, direct them to this page until I can get a more complete version available for everywhere. The scoreboard only logs scores locally right now! How high can you get? :3

the AI isn't a genius, but hit detection seems to be slightly different in the flash runtime vs. the standalone runtime, which causes the sub to crash more often than usual. This only happens occasionally, so if it didn't make sense the first time, just wait through and watch it again :3
hehe, I know, that's kinda the point. Once you learn to tap the keys to move the sub it should be OK. The game doesn't prevent people from driving the thing straight into a mine, which is something I think is a big deal important since many games these days feel like they're being played with training wheels on x_x
It's ridiculously hard, but strangely not as frustrating as some games that are ridiculously hard. I think the fact that it's solidly coded makes it a fair sort of hard. It looks stylistically professional, too.
