A number of treatments recently have involved converting the human body into a more pliable and resilient form. This is something we had done before with different treatments, such as the Bubble Gum and Taffy treatments, but more recently the approach has been considerably different. Ultimately we're trying to see if we can make the human body durable and able to function in extreme circumstances. Dr. Penny has been experimenting converting subjects to a two dimensional state, and experiments have been carried out to compress subjects. But these have all been with a specific purpose in mind. We wanted to see if we could alter someone's properties to allow a whole range of changes and circumstances. Dr. Grey and and Dr. Penny have been working on such a treatment, and when ready put out a request for testing subjects. One of the first to answer was Ms. Marigold, a barmaid who had been a subject for us previously along with a friend of hers.

Dr. Penny and Ms. Belle welcomed Ms. Marigold as she arrived, taking her to a rather unique and specially designed testing room for this particular treatment. They explained to Ms. Marigold the intention behind the treatment, and with her consent, administered the new drug we'd developed. At first there were no notable changes, aside from Ms. Marigold commenting on a mild tingle she'd experienced. Of course, with a treatment like this, if it went wrong, it could result in injury. So the testing began slowly. Pressure was applied to Ms. Marigold's finger, under the pretence that we'd stop if she experienced any pain. Anything further than discomfort. To Ms. Marigold and Ms. Belle's surprise, her finger would give under the pressure, causing it to compress. With renowned vigour, Dr. Penny began administering a whole new bunch of tests to see how Ms. Marigold's body would react. It was clear we were unsure how her mass functioned like this, so a new test was developed. We wondered if we compressed her whole body, but left a small segment uncompressed, if her mass would rush to it. Sort of like forcing all the toothpaste into the bottom of the tube. Ms. Marigold agreed and we pressed her up against a glass pane with a hole we'd created in it. To our surprise, the flatter Ms. Marigold was pressed, the more of her mass rushed through the opening. By the time she was completely flat, almost all of her mass had been transferred to her chest. Remarkable. Ms. Marigold is currently recovering from the treatment, but Dr. Penny seems alive with new ideas regarding this treatment.
