It's been a while since I had the time to work on an illustration, so I'm happy I was finally able to draw this one, even though it's a small one.
Shadi's more elegant and feminine side is often kept hidden, but after she became a professional musician she begun to show it more and more, depending on the situation. Of course she's still a lil tomboy, but at least now she's no longer ashamed of who she is and can enjoy some nice, stylish clothes.
...also, now that I think about it, Shadi would be a perfect rogue/thief/bard in a D&D setting. XD

Hope you like this little "return to my roots" here. ^^ I really had fun working on this one, especially the henna patters and the sitar. I wanted to draw Shadi playing some other instrument rather than her usual oud, as in time she will learn to pla several of them.

I need to tell you something.
I keep pictures.
Who cares? Everyone does that.
But I only keep what I REALLY like to see, and want to see again if the source of the picture disappears.
On FurAffinity, there are lots of artists I keep pictures of, but rarely more than a dozen each, and that's over many years.
You've been on FA for 3 years. And I just checked my collection. This picture is the 101st of yours I've saved because it's too good to ignore.
That's 101 times I've opened up a picture of yours and said, "Whoa, gotta have THAT one!"
No other artist comes close. Just thought I'd let you know.

"Walking on one of the busiest streets, not necessarily the cleanest ones, I heard the sounds of music. There was nothing strange about it, I've heard the musicians a few times since I entered this town. And yet there was something in it that attracted my attention. Trying to find the source of the sound, I had to break through groups of people who were coming as I approached. And when I passed the last people blocking me, I saw musician that looked like a caracal. She was sitting on the blue carpet playing the sitar. She stood out from the crowd with her elegant outfit, the kind you don't wear here every day. But perhaps the most attention was attracted by beautiful patterns painted in red paint on her arms, legs and forehead. Her music, happy as she is. It was these sounds that drew me here. They sounded strange to me, and yet I enjoyed listening to the vibrating melody. Seeing the smile on both the face of the musician and her listeners, I couldn't help but smile too. Next to the carpet on which she was sitting there was a tray on which someone had already put a few coins. I put my hand in my pocket, took out the contents and put it on the tray. And even before I left, I noticed another person stretching out his hand to the tray, as happy as I was."
That's my first comment since i registered on FaF five years ago. I hope it's accurate enough.
