Sona's First Sketchdump
CANVAS: White Strathmore Sketch Recycled Sketch Paper in my 5.5 in x 8.5 in sketchbook.
MATERIALS: Mechanical Pencil
This is the very first sketchdump of my fursona, Ashcraft Starborne! Forgive me, it's a little messy and imperfect, but I really feel like he's came together. I drew this as I was in the midst of designing him, so there are some traits that aren't shown here, some things that changed, and there's a little bit of extra detail for things I decided not to go with... Plus there's a *lot* of notes lolz
I'll give a more detailed description of him in a later post that's more cohesive, but here's a few fun facts about him and his creation:
- Ash's species is up for debate, but the best descriptions I could give you for what he is is (a) Skullbeaste and/or (b) an Undead Taxidermy Monster.
- He was based on Baphomet, Kludde, and the Occult in general. His cry is a Kludde, he stands like the Kludde, he even has detachable wings.
- His skull head is removable! It attaches via a chain connecting within the neck hole. The three stories that inspired his headlessness are the Green Ribbon, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Rawhead and Bloody Bones.
