For those of you who haven't been following my social media lately, I've recently come to the very difficult but much needed decision to step away from pursuing art as a career path. I'm sure it probably comes as a shock, considering that I've been doing this for so long, but that's precisely the reason why I made the decision.

Long story short, I'm not taking commissions or freelance work for the foreseeable future, for my own health, as I've been creatively running on fumes for the last decade.
Please take care of yourselves and your brains.

As a frequent burnout sufferer, I wouldn't say it's a good idea just to hang up the pencil FOREVER. However, it IS a good thing to branch out, experience new stuff you might not have thought about, and then if you're feeling the spark again, start again with a bit more understanding of how you can take care of yourself and create at the same time.
Balance is very important, be it art, or whatever you decide to do while not doing art.

Thank you <3
I don't know if I have it in me to just give up cold turkey on makin' stuff, whether it's drawing or writing or whatever. Really, I just wanted to bring back that same creative joy that I felt from when I was in high school to my early 20s. I think it's just the pursuit of something that's pretty much become unattainable for me in this internet climate has worn me down, and I figure if I'm going to make stuff, I'd rather it be stuff that I *want* to make. If people end up enjoying it and want to support me, then great, if not, then I won't have to give myself ulcers wondering whether or not I'm going to be able to pay my bills.
