Well, it's like the Aqua Teen Hunger Force effect. You pretty much know exactly what's being said but the added noise for some reason just renders it funnier (of course when ATHF does it, they use funny sound effects, not standard bleeps, like belches, buzzers, drums, toot sounds, etc, and based on the context in which the covered swear is given, it can make it even funnier).

As for keeping it clean, well, that's all fine and good. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Oh, and Metalocalypse uses electric guitar noises! It's so awesome. XD
