Dedicated to the neverending conflict between nature, its resources and mankind. Fishery on industrial scale drains life out of the oceans and is a huge issue for the survival of marine animals. From a reduction of food resources of whales to their entanglement in nets and the risk of collisions with fishing vessels — the list of the troubles that cetaceans face every day gets quite long. I hope the attention span of people that hear anything about this problem will get long enough to encourage them to look into it.

Probably one of the most complex works that I've created in the last couple of years, it took me 5 attempts to do it properly! Soft lighting with a combination of warm and cold colours is THE artistic challenge, so in case you're bored or dare to try something difficult, this one is for you! Luckily, the time and effort spent was totally worth it.

More than that, it was a fantastic chance to dive into working on my favorite part — the tiny details! Painting little birds was a special kind of pleasure, because I draw them quite often in traditional mediums when I have free time. Special thanks to  jabirucrocuta for commissioning and giving me such a task!
