I think it was either a french or italian (maybe a spanish) animated series for the kids. the characters were shapeshifting, slightly humanoid blobs. typically they would shift into an useful form to solve a problem (or do a prank, or whatever).
this was looong ago, late 70's, early 80's, when showing such things was allright. :)
