Character/Species reference for my goo creature, Gumlin.
Native to the world of Voredom, this voracious creature will lure unsuspecting prey in with its sweet scent, only to absorb and consume them, turning them into goo so that they may grow larger.
Gumlin have no sex or gender, though they may shape their goo around to add extra limbs or genitalia if they choose to do so.
Once they reach a certain size, usually a maximum of 20ft or so, they reproduce by dividing themselves. A gumlin may grow larger, but it's not preferable. Gumlin personalities are partly shaped by those they consume, so a gumlin too large may find its mind overwhelming.
Gumlin are usually weak to fire and/or being consumed by a larger predator, but there are exceptions. Pink gumlin are most common and have a sweet taste, but other colors exist as well, some being highly toxic.
Gumlin communicate via telepathy with eachother or simple sentences with other species, usually for the sole purpose of finding a meal.
