DARLINGS!!! It is I,… Singer,… Dancer,… Actress Extraordinaire,… the one,… the only,… Smuther!!
Oh, thank you, thank you, you are too kind,… don’t stop,…
Now, I know you’ve all heard of me,… frankly it would be embarrassing for you if you hadn’t,… but you may not know the whole story of how I became the fabulous rising star that I am today. Oh, it’s true, I wasn’t always like this, I used to be just another fleshy human, like so many others, and a boringly dull ‘Archeologist’ at that,… bleck,…. Tight shorts, boots, guns, and an absolutely dreadful fashion sense, rooting around in ancient tombs, trying to scrape up treasure to make myself rich, but all that changed one day. After getting my hands on some idol I thought would make me insanely rich I wound up getting knocked into a quicksand pit by some jungle girl,… I don’t know, who can remember such trifling details?

As I sank down into the sands I heard voices, dark whispers in my head, giving promises of power and fame, and talking about destroying some ‘Guardian’,… honestly, I wasn’t really paying attention to that part,… Before I knew it the sand around me shifted, the line between it and me blurring, and I wasn’t sinking anymore but rising. I emerged up from the sands but I now Was the sand, no longer flesh and blood, I was better than ever, and for the first time in my life everything seemed so clear, fame didn’t come from riches, it came from Fame, and I finally knew what my true goal was,… Hollywood!!
Of course, one doesn’t just walk into Hollywood and instantly become a star,… even someone as fabulously talented as I am,… you have to build up your portfolio first, show the range of your talents. Which is why I am here, filming on location on this lovely tropical island, with such friendly environments, easy terrain, and breathtaking vistas, why it’s simply paradise. Unfortunately there will always be those who are jealous of my talent and try to upstage me, like some upstart jungle girl, always trying to steal My Spotlight,…
Oh, and then of course those vicious rumors going around about my eating people, well, that is simply tabloid level fiction, absolutely preposterous. I mean, it’s not my fault if people are so dazzled by my presence that they don’t watch where they step and end up sinking into my dress, I mean that is what happens when you step in quicksand, that’s just nature, us stars have to eat too, you know?
Hmm,… speaking of,… I am feeling abit famished,… now where did that leafy little wildflower run off to?”

The island just got a whole lot louder,… and Ember’s life a lot more complicated,… with the addition of this new villainess. Much as she seems, a living quicksand pit, who thinks she some kind of rising star,… needless to say, she may be alittle unhinged. Of course I had to make some kind of quicksand-person among Ember’s villains, but wanted this one to stand out from other such characters, so the thought of doing a truly over-the-top style character like this seemed just right. BAB did an amazing job of bringing this character to life, with a beautiful and lustrous design that literally sparkles, truly showing her for the full-tilt Quicksand Diva that she is. But watch out, as the half submerged pith helmet and binoculars show getting too close to that long flowing dress is like stepping into a quicksand pit,… something that is sure to cause problems for an Island Guardian that focuses on close range combat. The sultry and sensational look to her design, from her sparkly dress and hair to those captivatingly blue eyes, to the microphone always nearby… but if you look closely you’ll see the sandy texture to her skin, with the image on the far right showing off her true nature,… in more ways than one. Her live performances promise to be truly Breath-Taking. ;)

It is definitely conscious for her. As for what happens, I'd rather not go further with detailing that,... I prefer to leave sinking at submergence, but yeah, she is similar to Sandman, just more quicksand-oriented than normal sand like he was.

Aww. :c I like details. XD But yeah, I love her alot! Characters like this: former humans/human-like/altered people. <3 That, and the whole 50's/Jessica Rabbit-style getup.

I'm glad you like her. :D Also, this is her first appearance, so she, like Ember, will be a constant work in progress, over time more will be revealed, but without spoiling too much just yet,...
Aside from reforming as needed, she does not seem able to take other forms, but this could simply be because she doesn't want to.
The thought is that as she was being 'reborn' the promises of 'Fame', which she had desired before as well, somehow really stuck in her head, becoming her focal point, and manifested this way.
As for defeating her,...
"Yes, I can defeat her,... but it's not easy,... the best way I've found so far is to lead her away from water and bogs and distract her until she dries out,... that is easier to say than do, especially on this island,... but I have found a couple words I've learned from tourists,... 'Otto-Graff' and 'On-core',... are great ways to distract her. She never stays dried out though."

Fair enough! Well, I really hope we see more of her and her unique powers! <3 I personally think she's lovely. 10/10 would give her a role.

<3 She does seem to be quite eager to hog the limelight. I can't say I blame her; when you're as fantastic and as unique as her, it'd be a crime to do any less!
