At last, another Kobold Kommando. Well sort of, but this one actually has a bit of context. 'Friends and I have been running a pen-n-paper RP called "Kobold's Killed My President" lately, and it's pretty much the epitome of kobold kommando'ing. It is a modern day mix with fantasy where you play as an underground Tiamat-worshiping revolutionary cell of kobolds bent on retaking the surface world from the united forces of modern civilization.
This was one of my team leaders, Mr. Maky. He and his team have so far managed to hold up and rob a bank, escape a police pursuit, gun down a major company's CEO, rig a couple of voting machines, and hide in a cardboard box "Solid Snake" style, as well as many other things.

I'd try to find a way to keep the colorwork from making your lineart less defined. Considering your style is predominantly based on the lines, it would seem that it works better for it to either have it being really sharp and out there, or having it totally gone. A healthy combination of both states would be ideal, however things like what's going on in your character's nose up there detract from how well the figure reads, imho.
.o. I hope it's helpful.

Ah, well honestly, for color works like this, I think I'm gonna end up moving toward the no-more-lines thing. Although, I feel like I can still use them to bracket things in a little bit, but its all a matter of finding out how to make that balance of when to show the line and when to cover it up. I definitely felt there were some issues with the head, although I think that was more a lighting issue than anything, but yeah, just kinda trying to feel this one out so far. All in all, I think were on the same page as to what I'm trying to do here.
Yay, Kobolds! My favorite fantasy critter... And the "Kobold's Killed My President" game sounds frightfully similar to a homegrown pen and paper RP of my own. My game is set in a Bladerunner like setting, but judging by the looks of this it's pretty much the same tone to it! ^^
It's actually sort of a branching off from that. It's our version of Kobold's Ate My Baby set in the modern day. We have it set up a little bit differently, and you can be a little bit more survivable, but discretion is still the better way to go when swat teams with fully automatic weapons are about.
