This OC of mine is actually pretty old. I think I created him about 6 years ago but he never got out of the sketch stage and ended up being scrapped. The reason for that was that almost every time people saw the concept sketches of him they told me how he reminded them of a certian chimera character from a famous anime show and it bugged the hell outta me!

I can see why. It's the hair and his long face but that was not my intention when I created him. In fact I was trying to create a guardian for my fursona. Something huge and friendly that would protect her from harm if she needed someone to. The hair was something I added because I wanted a character I could go wild on when it comes to hair details also because I had something in mind that was kinda a mix between a cow and horse of the size of a small dinosaur or something and I thought the hair would bring out the horse part in him a little bit more.

I was happy with him but ended up quitting working on him because of those comments I kept receiving.
Still I would sketch him for myself and myelf only from time to time.
When I came across one of those sketches the other day I decided not to give a shit anymore and finished him.
I had no colors or markings for him in mind and came up with that as I was working on his reference sheet. Same with his name and species.

I'm glad I did finish him in the end as I'm actually kinda proud of him now :3
