Mortimer felt the feet finally slide down his throat as his belly was now completely filled.
"Urf, you were certainly a hefty meal, but I gotcha now!" He looked at his belly, bulging out in front of him like an exercise ball about ready to burst. With all the movement he was trying to hold back, Mortimer had trouble keeping his balance and he neded up falling to the ground. "Ooof! All that weight certainly makes it hard to lug ya around, but I just gotta hold out for a while!"
Mortimer stood at the corner of the street, propping himself against a building with an outstretched arm. Given how it was threatening to rain, nobody would be out at this time... except this supposed 'potion seller' that he eagerly swallowed whole.
The arm that Mortimer was using to prop himself against the wall seemed to slide down its surface, as he found himself having to lift it up a bit to readjust himself.... This was odd, as he was certain this was a brick wall. Mortimer decided to watch it this time. His hand stayed in the same place as it did before, but his arm seemed to lower itself to keep the hand in place.
"What the?" Mortimer looked at the door nearby as he saw it was now at the height of his midriff. A realization came to his mind. "I'm... getting taller?"
Mortimer felt his belly finally calm down as it hefted itself outward. Pressing a hand into it, he found it was soft to the touch. "And fatter?" He lifted the belly and jiggled it. It was no longer taught and ready to burst with every movement the alchemist made. Instead, it seemed to be a rather bulging bit of fat, as if he'd gained all the nutrients from his meal already.
"Goodness me!" Mortimer remarked, hefting up half his belly while still supporting himself against the wall. "Seems you weren't lying when you said you were a potion seller." He sighed, feeling a satisfaction in his belly completely quieting down. "Though, I feel kinda bad for eating you. Can't make any more potions that I could try, can ya?"
The belly made a gurgling noise.
"Yeah, didn't think so." Mortimer stood up straight, trying to adjust himself to his new weight. "However, it seems YOU became MY potion for weight gain. I wish more people were fat like you were, alchemist!"
