As a biker.. it always annoys and confounds me when you see these kids on scooters and low powered bikes acting like utter fools. A motorcycle isn't a toy. Respect it and treat it right.
This is kind of based on a real life incident when I was meeting up with some folks for a ride.. and one kid (about nineteen) on 125cc scooter decided to try showing off to the big bikes..
Keep in mind; this kids on a step through plastic scooter, got his L plates on.. isn't wearing proper gear either.. Jogging bottoms, trainers, hoodie.. and he's trying to show off to the rest of us on 900cc+ fully licensed motorcycles, wearing various levels of gear... mostly on Cruisers/choppers.
Well.. he tried.. by trying to pull a wheelie. Ended up pulling one, lost control, spun out and flung himself about ten feet from the bike and got some minor road rash from the concrete.
This... is basically my expression on seeing this happen, followed shortly after wit ha muttered "Stupid fucker" to the guys beside me.
Art by the ever awesome
Also, this isn't based on my actual motorcycle; I ride a custom cruiser, not a cafe racer, but this seemed to fit the scene more :3

With the lack of proper gear, you can tell he doesnt have much experience with the bikes he owns (you can tell he did all this to boost his ego). Should really know your own limits before pulling off a stunt like that on a powerful bike, otherwise your bound to end in humiliation.
Wasn't even a powerful bike... it was a scooter. Literally a 125cc automatic twist'n'go.. we have ALOT of those around here ridden by stupid kids x.x
As for gear.. sadly alot of the older more experienced riders? don't wear it either. It's always something that's rankled on me. I mean, I won't use my bike without at LEAST My leather biking jacket, helmet, gloves and a damn good pair of boots. Even my trousers are usually either leather like the jacket or reinforced in some way incase of an accident.

Oh no, that's even worse!XD I dont like the trend myself, it kinda looses its value if it were automatic
Some cities I know provide the public with these scooters as rentals, which not only appears lazy, but I also see some of these auto scooters littered on the bike lane. Not a good sight I must say^^"
I can only assume some may skip the proper gear because they feel confident to ride without being harmed? But you cant skip the leather, it's both protective and stylish, I cant think why you wouldn't equip it! Lol
