"I think you're amazing, and pretty, but mostly, you're... I dunno, you're you."
Mine and @DanielleGreenUK's girls being beautiful scaly gays.
Nala the warlock (left) cut a deal with a patron that continuously demanded more and more bloodshed, until Nala felt herself being dragged down a dark path. Biirdresh the paladin (right) was turned into a statue by an evil cult--not just any statue, but an anchor for a portal so the cult's evil deity could pass through into this plane.
After rescuing and restoring Biirdresh, who had lingering nightmares that tormented her afterwards, Nala openly renounced her patron and demanded to be let out of the deal, whether or not she had to give up her powers. A part of her power as a Hexblade came from the tattoo that went down the length of her sword arm... and in a fit of anger, the patron took Nala's powers and burned away her arm in order to take away the arcane tattoo.
Nala avoided Biirdresh for a week, afraid that she would be angry about the fact that Nala had not told her what she planned to do, and had gotten hurt in the process. Nala finally faced her part-time lover (though the two had come to care more for each other than they'd originally planned). Biirdresh initially reacted poorly, panicking and despairing for Nala, but she calmed enough to listen, and Nala told her that she had chosen to risk herself to get rid of the corruptive magic that was turning her down a dark path. But now she was weak, useless, helpless--no magic, and no sword arm, and she could barely even write her own name anymore.
Biirdresh not only accepted her, but praised her for her bravery, and told Nala that she loved her. Biirdresh made Nala agree to learn to use a sword with her left arm in order to protect herself, and offered her wholehearted support while she recovered.
Then they had sex.
