Needlefelt... I can't say I've ever heard of that :U How is it done? This looks fantastic!

A interesting art that has evolved from the Army, belive it or not.. To make wool blankets en mass they ditched the water+soap+agitation + lots of rolling and pressing =felted blanket into tons of barbed needles pushed through dry wool=felted blanket. A lot less labor. But if you take a felting needle and use it individually, poking and prodding that fluff of wool it becomes a solid felt, that you can sculpt. Easy and mess-free. It takes a bit of practice but you can make some really neat things. You can see a lot of different artists' work just by searching "needlefelt sculpture"

Oh holy everything that is adorable! Awesome job!

I believe that it was more of an industrial start and needlefelting was made a bit more mainstream near the 1980's, though I am a tad rusty.
