Hey guys, it's good to be back and another review is coming out today. ^^
With TFF all done and homework commencing, I was happy to come back to a particular label at the shop. Since 2018 and grabbing some sticks from Leaf and Bean called The Black Label brand, I yearned for more these sticks. No we got some at the shop, now we have a review month! Let's get started!
Black Label Killer Bee:
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Ecuadorian
Filler: Ecuadorian
Pre-Light/Construction:
From the first glance at the box itself, these sticks were very standard in presentation, but the box gave off a dark and dangerous look with the bee symbol as the front runner.
I was also intrigued at the size of this little bastard. To me it said, "I may be small, but I pack and very strong sting." The wrapper itself had a very slick and shiny look. What was even more interesting was the fact that the head was striped with Broadleaf and Connecticut Broadleaf for the look of a bee's butt. XD It was an interesting design all in all. The band was a cryptid green bee for a more forboding presence. The pre-slice was a bit snug, but some draws, it would loosen like usual. Let's light it up!
The Burn Part 1:
I just got done with therapy and lunch with my therapist, so I eventually made my way to the lounge and starting smoking and typing at the same time to save some time. When I lit it up and puffed the first few puffs, there was a mass amount of white pepper and espresso notes. The amount of smoke was very massive and got a little looser once lit up. Only had water to sip on at the time. The overall body at this point was a strong medium.
The Burn Part 2:
AS the notes continued to grow stronger some light cream notes blended in with the espresso, giving it a little more robust and rich notes. Something heavy, but doesn't like to admit it can show some sweeter side to it. Soon some charred and toasty notes of cedar wood came into play. Something different on my palate and I wanted more. It was at this point my head was starting to bump and the intensity was building up. Mainly Full Body at this point.
The Burn Final:
At this point in the stick, it was becoming more and more intense from the draw. Clearly this is why Killer Bee is the name. The pepper notes backed down a bit, but were still a forefront with all that damn strength in the body. The Espresso and Cream wouldn't let down either. The charred cedar wood notes pretty much stayed in the middle. All until the ending of this stick, it was a bit of a ball buster down to the last puff. The last flavor to finish it was surprisingly the espresso and cream notes. With that I put it out in the ashtray and took the time to rest before heading out for the day.
Verdict:
You pretty much feel the Sting with this little bastard. Something I definitely recommend if you got some balls to withstand it. Something for the brave. Look for the neon green bee.
Next Week: Black Label Green Hornet
See you guys then!
