Sing louder, Nightingale
And this is the second art related to another part of my story. This character on the picture is Zahar Haritonov, my alter-ego. He is a Soviet interpreter whose life turned out to be a nightmare. Moral pressure at work and lots of mistakes broke him down. He used to be active and very ambitious, but under the circumstances he got severe depression with all types of symptoms like sociophobia, promiscuity, self-harm tendency and suicide attempts. He was loved, but he didn't pay much attention to it, so...
We both were given up. That was a lesson to me, a harsh one. Ever since I was left, I began to develop myself and his character, but I guess now we both are in deep apathy dying from self-hate and misery.
This very phrase, "Sing louder, Nightingale!" was created by me, but it was my beloved friend who first called my character Nightingale. It still means a lot to me, I even wear a necklace with this words.
