The Bastralas are a species of humanoid shark like aliens. This species stands at around 5 feet tall and are often light brown or grey in color. Unlike most species, this species breathes hydrogen instead of oxygen, meaning that in most atmosphere’s the Bastralas will suffocate, however they are able to breathe in water that is composed of H2O.

The Bastralas are a member of the Pelvfastero Collective and often operate as close quarters combat specialists while exclusively using melee weapons. Due to their culture, the Bastralas dislike the usage of guns or other projectile based weapons, prefering to be right in the faces of their enemies while slashing them with arm mounted blades. The species also goes into a frenzy at the scent of blood, increasing their lethality on the battlefield but at times taking off their helmets (and threatening their ability to breath in normal atmospheres) and eat their victims, whether dead or alive.

Due to being limited to a hydrogen atmosphere, the M4C4L0 were ordered to develop devices that allowed the Bastralas to operate on other worlds unhindered. One of these devices being a breathing apparatus that allowed the M4CAL0 to convert many different types of gasses into hydrogen, and another was a suit of powered armor that increases the lethality of the Bastralas in combat.

Due to being dependent on the M4C4L0 for weapons and armor technology, the species was easily persuaded into joining the M4C4L0 in a revolution against the Pelvfastero Collective, dealing a major blow to the slave and fighting force of the Collective. Together, the two species fought deep within the Collectives territory, catching the eyes of the Sol Systems Alliance and the Urvalet Coalitions where they assisted the two in a key battle against the collective and earning the respect of both the SSA and UC.
