You were told that there were going to be some S.P.E.C.I.A.L. encounters in the wasteland. You may think you're going psycho at the sight of a somehow giant stomping vault dweller, but you should probably jet.
War... War Never changes.
In the later half of the 21st century, the world entered a period where the brink of total annihilation seemed imminent. As nations fought among themselves over the small quantity of resources that were left, the greatest minds worked tirelessly on ways to preserve the inventiveness, creativity, and inspiration of mankind. To restart the growth of civilization.
On October 23, 2077, at 9:42a.m. the world had come to a standstill. The first bombs dropped in New York and Pennsylvania, sealing the fate of the world as retaliatory strikes were launched for the following two hours. The entire world had went silent as nuclear fallout rained black rain across the Earth, devastating ecosystems and changing the world forever.
But this was not the end, as you may think. It was just another chapter of history as the world had evolved, grown, and changed; adapting to the new environments that had been created. Beasts of unusual sizes roamed the landscape, science from the past was used to restore the world or change it for what some considered would be for the better and by others the worse.
You, are a Vault Dweller, a survivor of the world gone by. In your vault, an experiment was run to provide new sense of growth. To expand your ability to enter the wasteland outside and explore civilization and step through the rubble into tomorrow.
But war, war never changes.
This artwork was made by the wonderfully amazing
stonerabbit A kind and wonderful artist who is extremely creative. I've spoken about them a few times before about how kind and cool they are, so please again check them out.
As for the artwork itself, I was heavily inspired by the fallout series as I was just about to enter another binge at the time, of New Vegas and Fallout 4. Now while I do enjoy the base building to an extent in fallout 4, I still prefer the story and combat in fallout New Vegas, especially when I get my hands on This Machine. I have a lot of fond memories of the game itself, especially with the amount of hours that I spent decorating areas of abandoned stores and such to give a renewed sense of a prewar world. Also, it's a giant blue manectric in a giant blue vault suit! What's not to like?
