Made this book for Neo's brithday! :3
He wrote a poem every day for National Poetry Month (for 2008 and 2009, so this book has like 60 poems.) It was fun seeing his work, and anyone that can dedicate to something like that everyday is awesome. :3 So I put it all in here with some doodles and stuff!
And now I'm showing off the design. X3 There ya go.

Infact, yes~ <3... all the poems are up on my gallery.
If you wanted an easier format to view them, you could visit my livejournal: http://neopatamonx.livejournal.com/ I post all my poetry on both FA and LJ, though given that LJ is ONE page instead of a multitude of pages, its easier to navigate.
I look forward to seeing that you read some of my work~ I really like it to be shared... be warned though, some of them were not properly edited ^^: so you may come across some minor spelling errors.

Thanks for sharing all the links and information so that I can check out your poetry. It's not an easy medium and I can't help but be impressed by your level of dedication.
Oh, I was also going to ask the month it was held. Though, thanks to you, I now know. :) As you are doing it again, I'm going to go add you to my watch list so that I can follow along.
As for edits, *bashfully shrugs* I know all about it myself. I can't look back at my older stuff without thinking, "Yikes!" when it comes to grammar and spelling errors. Though, it's all part of the learning experience, right? :)

Part of me wishes to keep them as they are though, even with the errors, as testament to my growing ability too~ <3...
I'm happy to have you on board for my next round of prose~ I also invite you to take the challenge yourself! You'd be surprised at the creative juices flow and excite you when you've got such quick deadlines~ In '08, it was all about completing the challenge (even though I was 5 poems short of 30), and last year for me it was about trying different styles of poetry.
I'm not sure how I'll up the ante this year o.o;

I'm most impressed to hear not only how you respect your old work, but also how you enjoy finding new ways to ratchet your talents with each endeavor. In doing so, I believe you are adhering to the true spirit of creativity in that, no matter how good you may get at something, you realize there is always a fun, new horizon ahead of you if only you dare try to find it. :)
I also must agree with you on how having deadlines makes for a fun challenge. Each week, I try to find a new way to move along my currently six-month running Creative Campaign story. Though, doing a poem each day for a month would definately prove a much greater challenge. :)
I look forward to following your efforts this year and being inspired by them to find yet another way to take my own work to the next level. :) Thanks, Neo!

Its funny you should mention that poetry would be a harder endevour than a prolonged story project, for I feel the opposite. Poetry flows through me so easily compared to a story... in November of last year I wanted to do NaNovWriMo (50k words of fiction in a month) but I simply couldn't get my head around it.
I can write poetry because my mind can easily embrace a single emotion or thought and grasp it, and express it. This doesn't bode well when I'm trying to structure and lay the 'cement' per say for a story's path to walk on.
I also feel guilty sometimes, I know there's other great writers (as I'm sure you're one too~) out there on FA and beyond, but I'm actually an extremely slow reader. I'll retain EVERYTHING I read nearly, to the point where I can almost quote it, but for some reason I can't seem to read that fast and it usually ends up that something else more entertaining and less thought provoking steals my attention. I would wish for myself very much to indulge in the woven tapestries of another's mental chord; maybe one day I can find that ability~

I can relate entirely with what you just said. Especially as of late with how I know there are lots of great, written talents out there and having not quite the time, or reading capacity, to indulge in it.
As a writer, I find it painful when people ask who my "inspiration" is due to the fact that, quite frankly, I don't read much myself. I could say the fact that my eye sight has largely left me is a reason for this, but I realize making such a remark is more of an excuse than an explanation.
As for poetry, I am surprised to hear you have trouble in writing a tale. Have you ever tried writing a story through the use of poetry? Sort of like writing each page in your poetic style with each entry gradually sharing nuances of character, location, and/or atmosphere until they all eventually find a way to come together in a climatic sort of way?

You must be psychic or something o.o; Because I was having THAT EXACT IDEA for a theme for my poetry this year.
I had this inspiring idea, where the first poem of each week would be like an intro for a chapter, and each poem from that day till the next 'opener' would be at the least loosely based on the movement of a story overall. The 4 story-driven poems would be directly related to each other, while the rest would possibly be in a random but meaningful order~
Of course, this would require me to have a story to tell before I started writing - or I could simply make it up as I go~ But to answer your question, I haven't tried it like that.
By the way, I sort of remember mention that your eyesight was a bit damaged... I can't help but feel a little sadness on your behalf in learning this again. I don't know what I'd do without a decent pair of eyes, let alone the fear of becoming without them.... mayhap through some miracle you may get better...and I certainly wish you never get worse... *offers hug*

Huzzah! I like your idea for the upcoming month of poetic achievement. It should definately be a lot of fun to follow along and see how each week's idea evolves into a collective whole.
As for doing it, I'd say you'd do well just coming up with it at as you go. Like you said, poetry really plays off an emotion and/or feeling at a particular time. There's really no sense restricting your potential by putting up any conceptual limitations or expectations. :)
On a fun note, despite my eyes being the way they are, I honestly credit them and their current state for my creative spirit. Although it would be nice to see as well as most, I could never see being any other way as I treasure the creative spark I've gotten from my condition / limitations coupled with the good times I've shared with inspirational individuals such as yourself.

Looks very cool.
And what you did with the cover, that's exactly what I meant way back when: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/305...../#cid:22675668

What an awesome way to honor such an astounding accomplishment. Writing a poem is hard enough, but to be able to do one each day for an entire month is simply impressive. The fact he did it two years straight is even more inspiring. *Flutters* Oopa!
As for the design, I think you did a great job with the colors and poses. You really are mastering the art of book design and development quite well.

By the way~ Look forward to next month, for I'll be doing it again for the 3rd year in a row~ <3 (Its April, btw, the event I join... it seems that people do NaPoeWriMo whenever they please, the first time I did it it was in Janurary back in '06 - I failed it doing only a few poems (you'd find in my livejournal http://neopatamonx.livejournal.com/ ^^; ) then I had to skip '07 altogether due to irl drama)
