An excerpt from the Skolport Trapper Bestiary:

Forest dragons are easily identifiable by their shape and colors, usually having a dark shade of green on their top scales, a soft tan on their underbelly and dark brown horns atop their heads. Capable of spewing flame from their snouts, their main weapons are very sharp, sturdy claws and deadly sharp teeth, backed by more than enough jaw strength to cleave a man in twain effortlessly.

Forest dragons are expert hunters and formidable foes of men. Quick, dexterous, stealthy, and very intelligent, the forest dragons are beasts that are not to be meddled with, and should be avoided if possible. Though technically omnivorous, they subsist mainly on wild game and pilfered livestock, more than large enough to steal away with several cattle in a single coordinated raid.

Though there are reports of forest dragons that see humans as peers, there are just as many that do not, and those that inhabit the forests to the north of Skolport are certainly of the latter variety.

Pack hunters and scavengers, the dragons will prey upon any who enter their territory. A group of armed men can keep a forest dragon at bay, and in desperate situations may even be able to slay a younger beast with enough numbers. Any more than one dragon calls for an immediate retreat.
