And that's shellac. Most infantry rifles at the time had oil rubbed on, which the soldier had to do periodically, but since the average Soviet soldier's lifespan was so short, shellac it was!

Totally, I'm having trouble finding the stripper clips but the 7.62x54r rounds are pretty easy to find here, A brand called Wolf makes them.

Oh, fun. The Wolf stuff is pretty good, they don't use corrosive primers like the surplus has, so no chance of killing your bore on that. The clips are cheap enough online, but S&H jacks the price up. The ones with the little tabs are best, hold the rounds a little tighter and better aligned.

I see, I heard they were pretty good. I hate those crappy surplus rounds, I have a few and just by looking at them I don't even want to use them, Lul.

Ehh, very small rectangel .. It doesn't have the star or anything, It has a very small cross sickle and hammer with bundle of wheat around It. Though you can barely see It.

Awesome, I have 2 different model Nagants, both all original. My shorty is from 1944 and my longer one, bayonette attached to the side (it folds over), is from 1946. Both of them are extremely accurate right out of the box. Awesome weapons and super simple mechanisms. Enjoy your toy!

I am pro American as well, but you have to have options. Plus, when I picked mine up, they were $65 each. Can't pass up a deal like that. Besides, just because it was made in the USSR doesn't make it crap. As you can tell, they are solid and well built. A solid, high-caliber rifle loaded with history for enjoyment and use.

Score yourself some cheap 54R ammo at a gunshow. If you can find a spam can of 400 rounds, expect to pay around $90. Otherwise buy up Wolf or Grizzley. Be sure to thoroughly clean the gun as well!!

The beyonet Actually slides on pretty good, also the rifling the bore and the varnish on the gun are brand new.

I only paid $150 for It, and It was lubed when I got It at Cabelas.

No, the accesories came free with the rifle, they were original to the soldier who used the Rifle In 1938 and beyond.

k98 , used to have a nagan revolver , and the mp40 :3 and i would go for the c96 or look for an actual real mauzer m712
