The twins remind me of the imp twins Fee and Foo from the cartoon "Harvey Beaks." The Romero twins rough house but are very close just like Fee & Foo. I wonder if Kai and Kaya are afraid of being forever separated from each other or unable to see each other even when they're right next to each other like the imp twins...
