The forgotten
TIME: 1800
TIME 6:00pm
It was a long day of patrolling the boarder in Iraq. My squad of 12 men were getting tired we had 3 humvee‘s all three carried 50 cal’s on them. It was 1800 and we were heading to balad. My rank was Staff Sergeant for you military furs (SSG). My squad was made up with 12 soldier I won’t get involved in there ranks. So we were about 40 mile out side ballad and my driver was chatting to his navigator. When the navigator got shotand was killed as soon as he was shot. Our vehicle stops then three more shot pinged off my hummvee I said “go now!!” Then in front of us the hummvee blow sky high it was in flames two of my men ran out they were on fire the other to were already dead in side . One of them got shot in the head he fell to the ground. I said “James get on the 50 now!!” he started to shoot them was bullet hit us form ever where. I told nick my driver to get us the hell out of here. he move around the burning vehicle but we stop to get the soldier. We got them in and we drove off then my vehicle hit a mine and it was flipped in the air and land on the it roof I crawl out and I was coughing blood up the vehicle behind us was now out of order it was smashed in the front was gone. The men then pushed it shield us so we were now 35 mile out side the base and were in big trouble my squad was down 5 men now I grab gun and started to shoot. So did my men other men except for two who where grab there shovel and were digging us in. it seem like hour have passed and I said where’s dam our radio. One of the men got it. It was broken blown to hell. I said great now we are out of communication with the base that just great damit.
TIME: 1900
TIME: 7:00pm
It was now 1900 and we where low on ammo I was getting tired of this shit so I said “Alex would you get you sniper gun give Ben and Jake some covering fire while they go to the little settlement of hujau oaky. James you to use that 50 one the west side okay ready go now. They all got ready I said “ready 1, 2, 3 go, go, go nowwww goo!!!!!!!!!!!!” Ben and Jake ran fast to get to the settlement I started to fire I shot three guy they were now shooting mortars at us. Soon there was out of site over the sand dune I said okay how much ammo we have. James said “we have two more belts for the 50 cal and I have two clips for my pistol and one clip for my rifle. Alex has three more clips for his sniper rifle which each carry 10 and his pistol has two clips left. Nick and Brad both have five clip for there guns and you sir have three clips for you hand gun and 2 clips for you rifle and about 20 shotgun shell for you shot gun and then that leave Luke how has two clips for his sniper rifle and three clip for his hand gun and on 20 shotgun shell for his shot gun. We won’t last the night if they keep shooting mortars at us like this.” Damit I said well we have to hope that Ben and nick make it to the settlement soon.
TIME: 2000
TIME: 8:00PM
We were in deep this time I said to my men shoot only what you can his and try to hit them okay. Our 50 cal was out of ammo. I said “okay we need to think of some thing quick or we are fried okay” then brad go shot in the head and he was dead I grab his gun and started to shoot. All of a sudden I was hit in the leg I fell and nick got hit in the back he fell on top of me james help us got the med pack out nick was hurting bad I said go to him not me okay god damit now he need you now. Were we in very big trouble I said to Alex and Luke “find that dam sniper and take him out nowwww!!!” they both search for him the found him Alex fired it got him that when a mortar hit the side of the hummer in front of and I shook violently. I heard some thing it was guns but I know that these were not there terrorist gun Alex said “reinforcement are coming.” three hummvee and a small light tank was coming toward us we keep firing now we were in business. They got to us and was glad to see them the made a circle around us and we were slowly move out of danger. That when there RPGS hit the small tank it blow up and the men got out there were burned badly but they all were still shooting there guns one of them got hit by another RPG and he blow up. Soon we heard gunships coming too us and was so happy they started to fire on the terrorist. We now where heading back to the base we got there at 2100
TIME: 2100
TIME: 9:00pm
I lost many of my men I even lost the two I sent out to get help to they were kill. I was so pissed but my leg can heal but my memory's was not so heal I came back in to action after 5 months of treatment and healing too.
