These kids were spawned in early 2015 and I just noticed I have never officially introduced them or their lore! So please enjoy the details of my kids below. These are the only art pieces I have of them beside maybe two other pieces.
×Basic Info×
Names: Gypsy, Chomper, Tiny T and Titan.
Ages: N/A
The Differences:
·Gypsy is the only female among her three brothers and the only one of the four with a more natural brown color rather than the green shades that cover her siblings. She is extremely dominant even in her young age, doing anything to one up her brothers and show that she can handle herself.
·Chomper is your average little dino that adores exploring but since his skin is so easily camouflaged in nature, he is getting lost constantly. Luckily he can easily be found by the big holes he leaves in ANYTHING he can get his mouth on.
·Tiny T is the runt of his siblings. Despite him being quite smaller than the rest of them he makes it his goal to keep up and not be seen as different even though he truly is due to his size and lack of strength. If he's not wrestling with his bigger siblings you will find him with his Dad nine times out of ten. You can get confused before Tiny and Chomper at a glance because they both have stripes going all the way from their eyes down to their tails.
· Last but not least we have Titan, the strongest of all the hatchlings. What he has in strength he lacks in other areas, he is not fast in stamina or problem solving. Luckily he has his family to make up for whatever he or the others may lack. He is also the darkest in skin tone amongst the kids.
×Lore×
It was gloomy chilled night where all has gone quiet so the wind could play its peaceful lullaby; which soon lulled the territories to sleep. It was the time where all kinds of creatures lived together in harmony, sharing the ecosystem while helping it thrive. Depending upon which territory you may explore you could see humans, humanoids, canines, wild cats, dinosaurs of all kinds, maybe even a dodo or two but with any species, evil and greed can run in their veins. It was that very type of thing that brought danger to the jungle that night.
A beautiful half moon shined above a clearing where laid a nest made of warm brush. Within peacefully slept four young raptor hatchlings, their mother wrapped around them like their own personal house of protection. Rustling among the bushes near by soon woke the tiniest of the bunch who's curiosity got the better of him. A tiny wiggle of the bum was the last small effort he had to make to get over his mom's mountain of a tail to get to his destination.
Sniff Sniff Sniff
Cautiously sniffing at the air as he slowly got closer to the bushes. With each little step he made he started to regret leaving the safety of his mom's tail. Before he could make another step a mouse shoots from under the brush only to get snatched up by the cunning owl that lived above. This explained why the disturbance didn't disrupt the sleeping mother but did disturb the young one, he has much to learn about the world around him.
The large horned owl could be heard thoroughly enjoying his meal in the tree above. Only when his chomping was replaced with three hoots did mama raptor lift her head, she quickly notices only three of her babies were in the nest. With one look around she saw her runt; whom came running with one vibrating chitter from her throat. She looked up towards the large birds home filled with curiosity and concern.
"hoo-hoo-hooooo"
Upon the next hoot a bulky brute of a dog leapt from the bushes snagging her up right by her throat trying to take her down to the dirt and pin her there. This was no duck or doe that was trying to be taken down, it was a f^cking raptor. Her body was forced to unwrap from her kids which sent her into full on rage mode. Sharp talons dug into the dirt to firmly get her grip upon the surface, getting herself back to her feet she easily swung the canine off of her like an annoying flea. Quickly she moved over her scared young to be ready for whatever else may come from the dark.
Greed.
Greed can fuel so many evil actions and encounters, whatever to make the most profit. What was the thriving market this day and age? Raptors. Getting hunted, sold and sometimes slaughtered in high numbers. Almost every part of their body was worth a high dollar amount which is slowly forcing them back into extinction. Luckily some lines of Raptors have been Domesticated as pets and show animals; keeping them from ever fully going away.
Four big dollar signs laid scared below this pissed off mother, slowly being surrounded by a pack of hunting dogs.
"Leave the three big ones. Do what you want to the runt and mother, only two more mouths to feed who have no use. Make it quick. "
Only the wave of a glove covered hand could be seen signalling the slaughter to commence before a burly man shot a blank warning shot into the night sky triggering his dogs to do their jobs. The mother swiftly released an unusual sound from her gullet as she fought literally tooth and nail against the dogs.
As the dust cleared only a badly torn up wounded raptor laid upon the blood covered ground. The hired hunters face turned from successful to confusion, the four hatchlings are no where to be found among the massacre. Full of anger the rich being demanded that they ALL be found or no payment will be made. Completely embarrassed to be out smarted, the hunter and his dogs quickly run off into the forest. Money fueling them through the night.
Once all goes quiet again, one by one the owl from above brings blood covered raptor babies down to the ground. The blood was not of their own but their mothers so the dogs couldn't track them up within the tree. All four young ones raced to their mothers side trying to get her up so they could all run off together to a safer place as they always had before. It was the young tan female hatchling that first realized that it was to late; their mother was gone. Sad coo's left her throat and filled her eyes showing her brothers the truth, except for their tiny little brother, he had made his way to his mom's throat and curled up to sleep as he thought she was simply fast asleep. The three couldn't bare to move him so they too curled up around their mom's head for the last time.
In her dying breath she signaled her friend the owl to save those she loved the most.
Quite a few days had went by since her passing but the kids still hadn't left from her side. Only the rustling of bushes caught Tiny's attention, weak from being without food or water, he lifted his head to see an unlikely pair standing over him.
A large bright furred lion along side a dark furred wolf.
Soft sniffs came from the two toward what they had just found in hopes to see what they were, only for all of the scents around to be masked by the rotting corpse the young ones are laying with. A deep grunt left the wolf as he turned to keep on moving to find himself some breakfast.
"We can't just leave them, they'll die out here." The lion protested to his brother.
"And if we bring them with us then the hunters will be back on our tails again, we stand out like sore thumbs as is. You think adding four raptors to the mix is the go to plan?" A long wolf tail dragging across the forest floor while he walked some how looked like a fresh nest which caught someone's eye. Tiny lovingly rubbed his snout against his mom's one final time before waddling over and laying upon the moving tail, stopping its owner in his tracks. A soft laugh erupted from the lion amusingly. "It appears you have no choice in the matter now." A grumbling growl rumbled from the wolf but he was far to hungry to fight his brother on this one so he carried on his way with the baby raptor in tow. The siblings reluctantly gave their final goodbyes to their mother before quickly running after their brother and the two that may protect them in this new world.
