The scar is... relatively new. He got it from the Barbarian Khan and he has it since August 2017!

There is a new artwork in progress... a traditional piece which will be finished during my summer holidays.

i guess i really missed that detail, because it indeed appears in a few other artworks !

The artwork "Unholy Ritual" will show Reptile, Kyle and maybe another character. They are slowly approaching a cavern because they noticed some green fog from the outside the cavern. Inside the cave you will see some dark figures, covered in cloaks... they have some kind of cauldron and green, magical fog is emerging from that cauldron and slowly reaching out of the cave.
You will see the entrance of the cave with the dark figures and our heroes - slowly sneaking up on the evil mages.

Oh, and it will be a scene at night again!

Nah, it will take the usual amount of time... say around 20 hours.

Well, though this is technically not a NEW artwork... I am glad to have a current character sheet again.

Always good to keep your characters up to date, I've just made a profile for Mike recently, I need to do a ref sheet for him too as I'm getting asked about his fur colours x3

The thing is that... on the 2019 sheet his eyebrow scales were still wrong... and his eyes were wrong, as well!
So, it was important to change little things... even small things.
Just like you getting asked about fur colours.

Yeah, it helps especially when others are drawing your characters and aren't sure what colours are what.

Fascinating, only just noticed the scar was there...

Only thing I can fault is his weapon, doesn't look like a Pollaxe to me. More ceremonial than practical to my eyes.

Everything else works though ^_^

I suppose his weapon was supposed to be ceremonial but he used it for battle, anyway... he most possibly didn't have anything else back in the days.

Also, yeah... the eye is mostly white and his iris is yellow-green with a black pupil.
It wasn't really logical to have a full yellow eye... I like the new version a lot.

These artworks all share the same digital style... yeah, something like this will return.
BUT at the moment I prefer traditional art when it comes to REPTILE... and since I don't have much time to draw him I rather enjoy the traditional approach.

When I have to choose between a digital "swimsuit poster" and a traditional "official story" artwork... I would choose the later.

But I am not planning on going away from here... so... you can always expect some new stuff.
Unfortunately, you have to wait... because I simply have little time.

hehe you are extremely talented and gentle , both qualities are really hard to find nowadays I thank you for your always kindly replies , yeah I love those , that swimsuit looks very comfortable and that's all that matters also with the atlethic body that is totally credible , most of furries tend to draw unusual nonsense bodies and mostly disgusting... and the fact that you can make real bodies make the artwork more perfect and pleasant to the eyes and like a said those swimsuits looks quite comfortable also the design is really nice haha , definitely would buy one like this if a model like that ever exist haha

I have a hard time seeing any pic of Reptile as "clickbait." He's a beautiful character. I'm glad I've had the opportunity to follow you for so long. It's been fun!

The picture you did a few years back that showed Reptile's development over the years? I've occasionally showed that to my friends when their struggling with art. "Look at this guy. He didn't start off at the level he's at now. He had to develop it, and look what he's managed to do with time and practice!" Seeing even the smallest update to Reptile is like watching that process continue. :)

I really appreciate YOUR sharing that evolution sequence you did. It was an excellent look into how your character's design has grown over the years, and it was also a great example of how an artist can grow in general. In a way, it's an inspiring thing and helps me remember what could be if I keep working at it.

It seems the spear/halberd was (entirely) made of Damascus steel.

There is no such metal on RULUS! ^^ It is Aktesian steel.
