And a suggestion for the ears, try having them be kind of concave in shape when you sew them on, and overlap the edges closest to the center. It will give them some dimention and will allow them to stand better.

and btw the hat i have is supposed to be cat ears, so for canine I'd suggest the thinner more pointy ears like you have ^__^
