Sailing the skies of cheese.
Yes, I am seemingly in love with the color pink lately =D
This one was just a bitch to complete. If anything had went as planned I had finished it a month ago. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and at a certain point I just abandoned it and now pretend it's finished.
Also, the quality was a bit reduced by the multiple scannings (A4 Scanner, bigger than A3 artwork) and subsequent piecing together.
Enjoy or not!

You're letting your imagination loose, and I'm glad to see it!
Later on, I think this image would benefit from colouring that prioritized details, that made certain elements more prominent than others... because right now, they have a tendency to meld together, at the cost of clarity and composition.
But for the moment? Keep drawing, keep posting, keep showing what you can do. :)

That was precisely what hindered me so long. I noticed this early on but I chose the compromise between starting all over and possibly ruining what I had drawn so far. As with Maldoror III the colors are applied quite thin and therefore a single mistake might ruin the whole picture. Maybe I should have scanned the outlines before coloring and tried different color schemes in photoshop before applying them.
A bigger canvas would have also solved many of the problems, since even in the flesh the small details do not really stick out.
