I needed an easel, so I made one. I just made this from left over maple wood from a 5 in diameter section of trunk. Most of the parts used to make this came from that section of the trunk and the wooden pegs I wedged into the holes were from branches I shaved down. To make all the holes you see here, I just took a piece of thin rod and put it in a fire until the end was glowing an incandescent red and I bored through until it puffed out a heavy plume of smoke. The whole time I made this thing, I was just outside in the woods. The chain on there are sections of a wire coat hanger that I snipped into sections and made little eye ends on. Just some junk I brought with me so it could be completed in the woods
