You don't need to know anything about LJ. ^_^ The person who bought it would just have to upload it to a hosting site and copy-paste it into their infopage.
How long would it take you to make something like this? I know someone who makes pictures like that with simplish animation, like a blink and a tail swish, for $15 or $20. I don't know if that would be what you'd charge, but I thought a comparison might help. ;)
