We interrupt this celebration of the female body for a portrait of my new character- the plague doctor. See, I sorta look like a bird now (I'm getting there, fuzzface!).
This drawing is based heavily in history [obviously], and if I may explain a few things-
The white birdface is a mask, with the tip of the beak stuffed with spices, herbs, and incense, thought to ward off the "bad airs" containing the plague.
The smoking doohickey hanging from my belt is an incense burner. serving the same misplaced purpose as the mask. Hey, at least I smell great.
That is not a walking stick nor is it a cane- it is a sharp prod for keeping plague victims and their families away.
What's with the dead blackbird? Well, birds were originally believed to spread the plague, rather than the fleas from rodents.
The strange banner nailed to the wall is a "plague flag"- indicating that at least one of the residents inside have died of the disease. The X etched above indicates that plague is present in the household (obviously preceding the former).
It was interesting to draw something so void of color and life, for a change.

im grateful you made it, i may be a porn lover but im an art lover too and this counts full on as art and darn good art too not just for the quality but what i said before as dark as this is in general viewing and along with the plague stuff (accurate i might add) its still got a good deal of charm to it
Plague doctors were good people. But like most characters of the past, and plenty of the ages of today, they lacked the information required to perform their duties with complete efficacy.
Their sinister appearance was likely intentional, and one can suppose it was to frighten away children unwary of the disease and brand them of their unique role apart from the surgeon or herbal healer.

Nice! And I really like that you used historical facts^^
And its a fun little fact that filling the beak with good smelling herbs did actually help sometimes. There where some flowers and herbs that contained a chemical (can't remember the name) that actually did protect the doctor from being taken by the bacterias in the air. of course, no one did know that so there were some lucky ones and some unlucky.
But again, good job^^
