Ooo, I like this, I'd have a hard time imagining someone play standing like that, but everything is possible!
Now the pose is beautiful, it's static (as if he's balancing, not static as in boring) but you've managed to give me the illusion of motion (almost like a light wind) by placing things in just the right way.
The flute is pointing to the right (but slightly pointed up) along with the first section of the tail, and his lower (his right) leg + foot are also pointing to the right, but slightly downwards, that makes (to me at least) want to look to the right, as if I'm spinning my head around in an ancient court filled with wonderful acrobatic musicians (even though there's only one)
I hope that made some sense, but once again, Cool work! I like it tons.
