This was done as a shout out to all my friends, family, and fiance who are serving and have served in the military. This was the most difficult comic to color to date due to the digital camo pattern in Richard's pants. I made sure to use a lot of reference photos of military ACUs and regulation boots in order to get the details right, and I'm glad I took the extra time to do so. I don't want my military readers sending me emails saying "you put the pockets on the pants on the wrong side!" or "the new regulation boots aren't that color!" No sir, I'm gonna be accurate!

Heh, really the comic is a shout out to anyone who's served in any military, not just the US. We might be one of the more well known militaries in the world, but we're definitely not the only one with service members who deserve a pat on the back every once in a while. Netherlands need some love too!
